90 days. Rutabagas are a cross between cabbage and turnip. Plant produces high yields of huge yellow roots 5" - 6" diameter (13-15cm) with deep purple crowns. Yellow flesh with even texture. Prolific leaves for greens. Very sweet flavor. Flesh turns orange when cooked. Excellent keeping variety. Rutabagas store well in the refrigerator. They are hardy to fall frosts and may, in fact, be sweetened by cool weather. A heavy straw mulch extends harvest through early part of the winter.
