Allium porrum
105 DAYS.  Introduced in 1834, this popular Scottish heirloom leek is known for its large, fat, tender stalks, tasty mild flavor, and overwintering capabilities. It does well in the North or South. A type of cool season vegetable, it mainly grows as an Annual plant - which means it typically only grows best for a single growing season. Giant Musselburgh normally grows to a mature height of 12"-18" or taller.  Wonderful flavor, ideal for soups and stews.

United Kingdom is believed to be where Giant Musselburgh originates from.

Giant Musselburgh Leek is normally quite a low maintenance plant and is normally very easy to grow - great for beginner gardeners!
